Goa though a tiny state has its own very natural beauty, with its deep blue seas, sparkling water, picturesque view of its rivers, long necked swaying coconut trees, Goa is among the finest family destinations for all groups of ages.  The perfect playground for kids, romantic place for couples, and peaceful atmosphere for the elderly. The Indoportuguese style architecture stand still in some villages.  Fontainhas in Panjim has been declared a cultural quarter shining the life of architecture & culture of Goa.

Goa being under the rule of Portuguese for over 450yrs  has the influence of portuguese culture. Goa presents itself a different picture to the foreign visitor than the other parts of India Goa is famous for its excellent beaches,churches, temples, Besides the various celebration specially new year & carnival attracts a lot of tourist in Goa.There are a few historic world heritage sites such as Bom Jesus of Basilica churches & convents of Old Goa. There are many forts in Goa such as Tiracol, Chapora,Corjuem, Aguada, fort Gaspar Dias, & Cabo de Rama.

Goan cuisine consist of seafood, coconut milk, rice & local spices these are the main ingredients, the goan feni too is very famous specially the pork delicacies are also very popular among the tourist, the flea market and the night market not to forget which make it still more interesting and the night clubbing night makes the youngsters do alittle of activity work besides this there is a lot of exploring work to be done of various beaches and so on.

According to the 2011 census, Goa has a literacy rate of 87% with 90% males & 84% females most students in Goa complete their high school using English as their medium of Instruction.
